We're seeking to add independent, seasoned travel agents and/or agencies to our Hayes Executive Travel team.  You will work as an Independent Contractor booking travel for your own established clientele. Sales experience is recommended. If you love booking travel for your friends, family, personal corporate accounts, and creating fabulous group trips for tours, cruises, etc.  

Travel agent experience is recommended.  This is an independent contractor role and is strictly commission-based.

Commission Split:  80/20

Pay:  Potential earnings from $50K + / a year

Monthly Fee:  $50.00 per member

Work Location: This position is fully REMOTE from your home or favorite vacation spot.

Hours: You set your own hours, but we recommend that you actively spend 20-40 hours weekly to maintain your client business.

Note:  This is a 1099 contractor position, must be 18 years and older, and must be based in the United States.

 To be successful in this role as an independent agent, we recommend: 

• Must have a personal computer, internet, phone, and email.
• Must have excellent customer service.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must always follow up with clients regardless of the situation.
• Be accountable for all transactions.
• Must have a strong work ethic. 
• Must be able to maintain a strict level of confidentiality
• Must love engaging with your clients via phone, face to face.
• Must be well organized and very independent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office products (email, word, excel).
• Must log all transactions and keep up with all business transactions.
• The agent should have knowledge of using the Sabre GDS. If the agent is strictly leisure and sells packages etc.,  we are okay with that.  If you have worked on another GDS platform, let's talk.

How often are commissions paid once they are received from the supplier?

Every other Friday via automatic deposit

Do I get my commission as soon as I book a trip?

No, most commissions are sent out after the traveler has completed a trip.  Once the agency has received commissions from the suppliers, we distribute them to you based on the next commission period.  Service fees that are issued via the GDS are paid out faster since they are immediate charges.
